The institution’s aim is to become a centre for excellence, to impart quality education at a nominal cost. At Government Arts College, Maninagar, my team strives to create an atmosphere of teaching, learning and research that contributes to capacity building and holistic development of an individual. The college is committed towards promoting patriotism, communal harmony and national integration so as to mould the future generations as ideal citizens.
Along with academic excellence the college also works towards training students in creative arts, social service and critical thinking while instilling leadership qualities so as to make an effective contribution to the creation of a new and value based society. Our aim is to facilitate learning, to create individuals who dare to dream and conquer the world with their commitment, competence, compassion and consciousness.

Government Arts College is managed by the Education Department, Government of Gujarat. Teaching and learning is a lifelong and dynamic process.

We aspire to develop the skills essential for making responsible citizens. This will make them immensely capable of facing the future with spirit and optimism. We try to instill the values of respect and trust in relationships that are the foundation of real success. To bring out their hidden potential, we encourage our students to take part in various academic as well as cultural activities, NSS, NCC and Sports activities at college and at the university level.
Remember “The reward of every good action will be good only”. Do not surrender or become a slave to youthful fancies and indulgences. Students, you all should work hard and focus steadily in your studies. With experienced and dedicated teachers and excellent infrastructure, our college helps students to realize their goals in life. We hone the students’ intellectual acumen, personal discipline, cultural sensitivity and moral conviction to create model citizens of the Nation.
I encourage all students to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the college and involve themselves in all the extracurricular activities that are offered. The overall development of the mind and body is a sign of a healthy and complete development.
